Role Overview
The ELV Technician will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Audio Visual, and other ICT infrastructure systems at client sites. The role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work on commercial buildings, retail malls, offices, hospitals, and other infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and terminate structured cabling systems (Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic cables).
- Install and configure IP CCTV surveillance systems including cameras, NVRs, and video management software.
- Install and maintain access control systems, biometric devices, and door controllers.
- Support installation of Public Address (PA) systems and background music systems.
- Assist in the installation and setup of Audio Visual and video conferencing systems.
- Install and test Wi-Fi access points and network switches.
- Perform cable routing, trunking, conduit installation, and labeling as per project standards.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of ELV systems.
- Maintain proper documentation, cable tagging, and installation reports.
- Coordinate with project engineers and site supervisors during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and project quality standards.
- Provide maintenance and technical support for installed systems.

Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / Networking / Telecommunications
or - Certification in ELV / Networking / CCTV installation
Experience
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in ELV / IT system installation
- Experience working on commercial buildings, offices, hospitals, malls, or infrastructure projects
Required Skills
- Knowledge of network cabling and termination
- Basic IP networking knowledge
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work at project sites and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fiber splicing and testing
- Knowledge of IP camera configuration
- Knowledge of IT systems / devices termination /configuration
- Familiarity with BMS / IBMS systems
