Job Summary:
The Presales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle for Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems and IT infrastructure projects. This includes engaging with clients, consultants, and internal teams to understand project requirements, designing technical solutions, preparing proposals, and ensuring compliance with standards and best practices. The candidate will focus on systems such as ELV Systems, Wired & WIFI Networking , Telephony systems, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm (Addressable), Public Address, IT Active Components, and Datacenter Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Sales Support
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- Conduct site surveys, client meetings, and technical presentations to gather information and demonstrate product capabilities.
- Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders with detailed technical proposals and compliance statements.
Solution Design & Proposal Preparation
- Design and develop cost-effective and compliant ELV and IT system solutions using industry standards
- Create detailed BOQs, BOM, schematics, system architectures, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and technical datasheets.
- Ensure all proposals meet regulatory, safety, and client-specific requirements.
Documentation and Drawings
- Work closely with CAD and design teams to develop AutoCAD drawings, shop drawings, and layout plans.
- Provide system architecture diagrams, network topology, and integration plans for complex systems.
- Prepare Method Statements, Compliance Sheets, and Material Submittals.
Product Knowledge & Technology Evaluation
- Stay updated on latest technologies and products in ELV, security, and datacenter solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies and provide input on product selection and vendor engagement.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Conduct technical discussions with clients, consultants, and internal project teams.
- Present proposed solutions during client meetings and technical workshops.
- Support client presentations and clarify technical concerns during the tender process.
Coordination & Handover
- Coordinate with project, procurement, and implementation teams for smooth project handover.
- Assist project execution teams by clarifying technical elements and ensuring design integrity.
Core Systems & Technologies Covered:
- CCTV Systems: IP & Analog, VMS, analytics, video storage solutions.
- Access Control Systems: Biometric, card-based, turnstiles, and integrated systems.
- Fire Alarm Systems: Addressable systems, detection devices, control panels (NFPA, BS standards).
- Public Address / Voice Evacuation: Paging, BGM, EN54-compliant systems.
- IT Infrastructure (Active Systems): Core and edge switches, routers, wireless controllers, firewalls.
- Structured Cabling Systems: Copper (Cat6/6A), Fiber Optics, patch panels, cable management.
- Datacenter Solutions: Racks, UPS, PDUs, cooling, containment, and monitoring systems.
- Intercom, SMATV/IPTV, BMS (as optional systems)
- IBMS Systems : BMS, FAS and PAS
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or IT Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a presales or technical design role for ELV/IT systems.
- Proven experience in designing and preparing proposals for large-scale integrated systems.
Skills Required:
- Strong technical knowledge of ELV systems and IT networking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, Visio, AutoCAD, and ERP tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
